Papaw and Me

My Dad loves to snuggle with the babies and sleep with them on his chest. The two of them are so cute together...I had to "capture the moment."

She sure loves her Papaw!!!

Monkeying Around

Addison's Mamaw and Papaw Pauley got her this walker/jumper/jungle thing! LOL She loves it SO much. It's really cute...the seat's a monkey face!!! :) They got it for her about 3 weeks ago and when they got it she couldn't touch the ground so we'd have to put pillows under her. I can tell she's growing because now her feet touch. She loves the noises it makes and jumping up and down on her own. She also likes chewing on it-probably because her gums bother her. Sometimes she gets her arms stuck at her side and I have to go pull them out so she can keep playing.

Thanks Mamaw and Papaw...I LOVE MY TOY!!!

I love this picture. I know her eyes are closed, but she looks so prissy in the picture-it cracks me up!

Here she is "chewing" on it. Here arms are also "stuck"...

"Ok..I'm tired-can I get out now?"

The toy she's pulling is her favorite on there. I think it's because she can reach it and hold on to it really good. Every time she pulls on it- the toy lights up and plays songs!

Hand in Hand

Last night my Bubby, Brooke and Little Man visited with Mom and Dad. I hadn't seen any of them in 6 weeks...so I had to visit! :) Addison is cutting teeth terribly bad and she doesn't feel very well, but she still had fun. She noticed Little Man for the first time and it was quite precious-usually he only notices her. She just kept starring at him...

This picture is the most precious picture I've ever seen!
When I was little and Bubby would harass me, Mom would make him give me piggyback rides through the house. Think that'll happen again? :)
"Faster Jerrick...FASTER."

Awww...

She seriously starred at him for like 2 hours!

Still starring...

Daddy "tickling" his girl. All the while- she's still starring!

Daddy tickling his boy!

He's so cute!!! Look at those bright eyes.

Little Pink Riding Hood?

And last, but not least is Little Deuce!

Hello Kitty

Scuffs' favorite place to lay is on the back of our love seat. I think she likes it because she can lay and look out the window-she LOVES sunlight. At night, she sleeps with Ricky and I. We have a blanket at the end of our bed that she always sleeps on. A few of her other favorite places include: Under the crib, in the top of our closet, on top of the baby's armories, on any vent (fully covering it), or any other goofy place you can think of.

She also likes the outdoors-a lot. When we lived at our other house she was never allowed outside and it made me feel really guilty. Now that she can play outside and run free-she LOVES it! I was picking up the house yesterday and caught her "galloping" on the hillside.

4 Months

I took these pictures on Addison's 4 month Birthday. She's so precious all of the time, but especially when she sleeps. She truly looks like an angel!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl-I love you with my heart and soul.

You might be addicted to Xbox if...

(1) You force your 3 month old child to play along!

(2) You sit on your legs 2 feet from the TV.

(3) You hold your mouth open unknowingly.

(4) When your wife returns (2 hours later) you haven't moved-AN INCH!! :)

I am kidding about many of these things. Ricky likes to play Xbox occasionally. When he plays-it cracks me up. I couldn't resist taking these pictures (maybe he'll realize just how hard he does "concentrate"). He's cute though-all the time!

Sugapie and Mommy

I don't get in very many pictures with my girl-mainly because I'm the one always taking the pictures. Ricky took these a few months back and they're absolutely adorable of her.

I love how she has that little grin on her face!

Pretty in Pink-March 1, 2009

Ricky and I got Addison ready for church last night and she looked so cute in her blue jean dress, pink tights and hair bow (dress and tights courtesy of Mamaw and Papaw Marker)! But the "diamonds" topped it off! :) She's getting much better at having her picture taken-that's probably a good thing considering I take 100 a day!

Little Lady in her "Diamonds"-February 28, 2009

I had always planned on getting my daughter's ears pierced when she was very small-just as my Mother did. I was 5 months old when Mom had my ears pierced. Now that I actually have a daughter-the decision wasn't quit as easy as I had imagined! I talked to many other mothers about getting it done and everyone said to do it now so she doesn't remember the pain and she isn't old enough to fool with them-or pull them out! But when I talked to my Mom, she said if she had it to do over, she wouldn't have had mine done so early. So I was torn...

I finally decided that I wanted her to have it done and get it over so that she wouldn't remember the experience. So Ricky and I headed to the mall Saturday evening to pay a visit to the Piercing Pagoda. I started to chicken out when we first got there, but Ricky reassured me that it would be okay and if I didn't have it done, he would.

When we got there, Jenny (the lady that worked there) was so nice and helpful. She let us know that she had pierced hundreds of babies and that she and another technician would do it together (which was MUCH more comforting) and that it's really not as bad as most people may think.
So she had me fill out this form, she gave me a "certificate" to put in Addison's baby book and a lollipop. I then chose the earrings and the fun began.

Jenny had me sit in a chair with her in my lap. I think as soon as I hit the chair I started crying. She marked her ears and then the other lady came over to help. They counted to 3... At the same time they pierced her little ears. It scared her at first and she jumped. Then about 5 seconds later she started crying. She only cried for about 30-45 seconds and she was okay. I know that her ears are still sore, but she handled it like a trooper. And the benefit is that she looks SOOOO adorable with her little "diamonds". She's definitely a "girly girl"-already!! :)
